Team Roles Explained

What each Pilotbot team role can and can't do — Owner, Manager, Trader, Viewer, and Auditor — so you can grant exactly the right access.

Every team member has one role, and each role has a fixed, predictable set of permissions. This keeps access simple: you never wire up individual toggles — you pick the role, and the right permissions come with it.

Owner

You. Full access to everything — accounts, ads, strategies, team, billing, and settings. There is one owner per workspace.

Manager

The broadest team role. A Manager can:

  • View the dashboard, ads, and monitoring.
  • Turn ads on/off and edit them.
  • View and edit strategies.
  • View the team and its audit trail.
  • View settings.

Give this role to someone you trust to run day-to-day operations across the accounts you assign.

Trader

A hands-on operator focused on the ads. A Trader can:

  • View the dashboard, ads, and monitoring.
  • Turn P2P ads on/off on their assigned accounts.
  • View strategies and the agent (read-only).

A Trader keeps ads running but can't edit strategies or manage the team.

Viewer

Read-only. A Viewer can see the dashboard, ads, monitoring, and account info on assigned accounts — but can't change anything. Ideal for someone who needs visibility without the ability to act.

Auditor

Also read-only, with the same view access as a Viewer (dashboard, ads, monitoring, accounts). The Auditor role exists for oversight and review — it deliberately does not include turning ads on/off or editing anything.

Choosing the Right Role

  • Needs to actually run ads → Trader
  • Needs to run ads and manage strategies/team → Manager
  • Needs to see, not touch → Viewer or Auditor
